What is a U.S. agent under MoCRA?
Under the Modernization of Cosmetics Regulation Act (MoCRA), foreign cosmetics facilities that manufacture or process cosmetic products for distribution in the United States must designate a U.S. agent. The U.S. agent is a person residing or maintaining a place of business in the United States who serves as the facility’s reachable contact for the FDA.
Who needs one?
Any foreign facility that manufactures or processes cosmetic products for sale in the U.S. must name a U.S. agent as part of its facility registration. Without a designated U.S. agent, a foreign facility cannot complete its FDA registration.
What is an FEI and how long does it take?
An FEI (Facility Establishment Identifier) is the unique number FDA assigns to a registered facility. If your facility doesn’t already have one, we request it from FDA as part of onboarding — this typically takes 7–10 business days.
How does renewal work?
Facility registration renews biennially. As long as your subscription is active, we handle the renewal for you — that’s continuous coverage while subscribed. FDA filing fees are $0 as of September 2026 (FDA may change them).
What happens if I cancel?
You may cancel anytime. On cancellation or non-payment, we resign formally with written notice to you — your facility must name a new agent to stay compliant. We never silently abandon a client.
Do you file product listings?
Cosmetic product listings (Form FDA 5067) are not included in the base plan. They are available as a separate service — contact us for details.
